As if there isn’t enough going on… I started toying around with some ideas for a holiday season charity event shortly after Blizzcon. And, the first name that popped into my head was Brigwyn of The Hunting Lodge, and now wow.com. He had remarkable success pulling off the Children’s Week for Child’s Play event back in May, so I thought he would be a likely com padre in putting something together for the festive holiday season baring upon us all. Just so happened, that very same week Fimlys and Nibuca of Twisted Nether Blogcast approached Brig with a similar proposition. Since we all had the same goal, and vision for a World of Warcraft community charity event, we decided to team up!

In agreeing upon the specifics of the event, we also agreed upon the fact that there should be a group where we can all share charity events like these, and spread the word among all of the active World of Warcraft Internet Media websites. So, as we prepare for the charity event, we are also forming Azeroth United.

Think of AU as an evolution of Twisted Nether. Where TN focuses on World of Warcraft blogs, Azeroth United covers WoW-Fan blogs, podcasts, resource and utility sites, machinima, progressive guilds, etc. Basically anything that is out on the internet relating to World of Warcraft is welcome to unite with AU.

We plan on showcasing some of the best and brightest fan sites on the web, plan meetups, as well as coordinate some spectacular charity events throughout the year. So, if you have a site – UNITE. If you frequent a site that isn’t listed, send the author an e-mail and make sure that they know about AU!
