More Fun in the BG’s – Level 33

So I left you as I had just turned 33 in the BG’s and I have to say that it has not gotten any better or more fun. The easiest way for me to put it into perspective is this:

“Who the F*&^ just killed me and how did they kill me so fast?”

This is not fun for me. The one really good aspect of leveling in the BG’s so far is making sure that you have the daily BG. The experience that you get from having the daily is huge. The time it will take you to move 10 levels is increased significantly if you do not use the daily BG quest in an effort to maximize your experience.

I have to say that I despise players who get in and bail as soon as the tide turns and it is clear that we are not going to win. In one BG fight we started with 7 horde, which I will admit puts you at a serious disadvantage to 10 alliance, but the 7 did not even have the class to stay. By the time we had lost our big battle outside the Blacksmith in Arathi Basin people started to bail. At the end we had 3 horde vs. 10 alliance. The thing is that this was not a onetime occurrence. I saw this kind of thing happen many times on both sides.

Let me be clear it is classless to just bail. If you cannot be committed enough to spend the 25 minutes in a BG then don’t enter it in the first place. I will grant you that if you enter one and you only have 3 people and no one else is joining then you should probably bail. But with the example I gave, if the 7 would have stayed we might have gotten more. We would most likely still have lost being at such a disadvantage in the beginning, but once they started to bail; people who popped in got scared seeing 5 people and they immediately left.

I tried to watch to see how much experience I was getting from exploring and cooking. I was hunting bears and lions in Hillsbrad so I was getting some experience from leveling my cooking. I estimate that I got 1,000 experience points from exploring Hillsbrad and 2,000 experience points from Arathi Highlands. Plus, I killed a bunch of bears and lions where I was getting:

No xp from grey bears

106 xp from elder grey bears

No xp from starving mountain lions

252 – 504 experience for mountain lions

Bears and Lions, Oh My!

Well level 33 has not been fun, but I am committed to this experiment. I will be back soon with level 34.
