The Hunter, Mongojerry’s, list for Greatfather Winter

Hello Greatfather Winter, I really hope that you saw how good I was this year. I actually didn’t kill too many things considering that I spent a solid 9 months treading water off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale. The best part of getting out of the water was drying off by the fire in the inn, and getting some real rest.

I know that I ended up in the water because of some strange phenomenon called lag. For my first request I would like this lag issue to go away. Please Greatfather Winter, make the game a little more forgiving when it comes to lag. There are quite a few instances and raids, like the safety dance, where even 250 ms of lag will get you killed if you are not careful. Now, I am not going to even try to understand the game mechanics that are involved with a jabillion players, mobs and critters to keep track of in the game. All I know is lag sucks and even with a strong connection, there are nights where the game is unplayable.

My second request Greatfather Winter, involves ammo. Now, we engineers get to craft our own ammo, but seriously, if I want to use arrows, there are 15 levels in between vender arrows. 15! When I was a newbie hunter, I didn’t realize that there were things like the Feathered Arrow out there that bridge the gap some. Greatfather Winter, can you change ammo so it scales with my level? It would make things simpler, which is where things seem to be heading to.

On that same note, Greatfather Winter can you allow me when I get to max level engineering to craft epic arrows and bullets? I don’t see why I have to pick one. When I am that smart, I feel like I should be able to make both with no problem.

When I grow all the way up, I want to raid and share in the glory, spreading the might of the Alliance far and wide. Now, I have always been beast master spec. I just love my ghost saber cat, Rumpleteaser. She and I have been together since I can remember, and I spent many hours trying to get her to appear. There are a lot of cat figurines to open to get such a magnificent beast to spawn. We share everything, and we have a bond that can’t be broken. She is also really smart, but for the life of me, I can’t get her to stand out of the way of fire or tail sweeps. Greatfather Winter, can Beast Master Hunters have the  ability to choose a direction on the mob that the pet will attack from? It can be as simple as choosing the front, a side (3 or 9 o’clock) or back. I think this little tweak would really help my pet survive boss fights better. Also, I really wish that my Beast Master Spec would do more raid DPS. I am not saying that it has to be the best raid DPS spec, but it should be competitive at the very least. It seems like the glyph of Beastial Wrath is dead. I like getting mad, shooting stuff and watching my big red kitty. Please fix it.

This is kinda silly, but the character selection screen always shows a character’s melee weapon. Greatfather Winter, can you change hunters so the character selection screen always shows the hunter’s ranged weapon and the current pet, even if I log out while mounted? Speaking of being mounted, why does my pet go away when I get on my mount? It didn’t used to be that way. I miss having my pet with me all the time. My mount and pet get along just fine; I don’t know why both can’t tear across Azeroth together.

PS My friend Stompalina says if I get to have my mount and pet out, that she should be able to have her pets out. ALL of her pets out.

I found out this weekend that there is a neat hunter bug out there. If you queue in the LFG and it pops while you are mounted, when you are transported back after the instance is over you will have your mount and your pet out.
