<Goblin voice> Then do I have a deal for you!
We here at rawrcast are looking for talented writers that have a firm grasp of the English language and love to play WoW. Or if you are like me, you are writing while playing WoW. Or you can play and then WoW. Or WoW then write, right?
If you are interested in becoming a writer for us pick a topic and email it to me at oz AT rawrcast dot com
500 words on: (pick one)
What is a funny story you remember from playing WoW.
What is a game mechanic that your main has that you wish your alt had?
Write something about your class that you think needs improvement.
How has WoW affected your life?
I will read your submissions and those that are good will get an interview. Good luck!

This special episode of Rawrcast focuses on Stomp’s long-time love affair with the Warlock class. Stomp welcomes her friend, Nibuca from Mystic Chicanery and Twisted Nether Blogcast, along with Hinosilin (Rusty) and Darkchrono from the #1 US Guild – EXODUS. Together we we reviewed the basics of the class, spec, gear, stat choices, and look further into raiding mechanics, utility, tips, tricks and stories. We also addressed a few listener e-mails on the subject of pets and upcoming changes being discussed for Cataclysm, along with changes we would like to see in the game. Read more…
…because another one of my favorite WoW bloggers is calling it quits. Pike over at http://www.aspectofthehare.net/ is taking some time off to concentrate on RL stuff. I can’t say that I blame her, but it is a bummer. I can honestly say that Pike and the guys over at http://www.brigwyn.com/ have inspired me to take my NE Hunter from level 32 and this hunter has replaced my DK and my Priest as my main.
Pike has great stuff on Hunters and Resto Druids, and WoW in general. She also covers stuff from raiding to casual play. She also writes about complicated stuff like Linux. And fish.
Pike I wish you luck and hope you come back sooner rather than later!

So last night I managed to catch up with the rest of my guild and down Professor Putricide in 25 man ICC. After the fight was finished, it occurred to me that our regular 25 man roster had passed a certain threshold. Our tanks were surviving much longer, our healers were cranking out huge numbers and the raid wide DPS was very high. It looks like we’ve been exposed to enough ICC and Frost Badges so that everyone has received several upgrades. We had hit the tipping point where it now appears likely that we’ll be doing the Lich King in the very near future. Read more…
If you have an idea for a segment to be featured on an upcoming episode of Rawrcast, send us a pilot of your piece! Even if you don’t have any experience in audio production or podcasting, everyone is welcome to offer up their creative perspective on the game that we all know and love. For the novice, I have created a handy page on “How to Create an MP3“… And for the more advanced, we are looking to develop a Video Production Team and step up production to offer more live video, and on-demand videos through the website.
So, if you have something to say, and you feel Rawrcast is the right place to say it… Become a part of the Rawr Crew by sending your segment pilot.

Visit Rawrcast.com and click on LIVE!
There has been so many amazing news stories that have been announced this week. It is “Bound” to be a marathon show! We also have many listener submitted segments, and we are looking for more. If you have an idea for a segment that you would like to see on Rawrcast, shoot us a mail at hugesack.com.
We also have an amazing live chat room filled with 20-50 people each week. People who participate in the chat room are always engaging about raiding, specs, guilds, and banter about how it is “always the rogue’s fault”. Mullets, the master of the chat room, also takes questions LIVE via chat, twitter and the 9-line – 559-949-RAWR – for the FFA portion of the show where Haf and I talk live, and answer you questions.
We love interacting with you guys, getting to know you as well as you know us. Thank you for letting us enter your ear holes each week, and thank you for helping to make Rawrcast something worth growing, and working to make a show you enjoy! With your feedback, we are looking forward to making a show that you tell all of your friends about, giving away amazing, free prizes from sponsors that you care about supporting, and having a great time doing it.
Thanks again for your support!
Sincerely,
Stompalina aka. DD

EDIT: I’d like to point out, after an exchange with Brig, that his preferred raiding spec is MM and not BM. He, like me, really just shares a disdain for the elitist pigs that infest our Azerothian universe. I decided to add the edit here at the top so as to maintain the fluidity of the original post. As many of you can probably tell, it takes some prewriting for me to produce a whole post and sometimes adding something in often negatively impacts the overall unity of the message. As always, I am forever grateful and joyfully relieved when anyone shares what I like to call “good guy syndrome” no matter his personal play preferences.
I think it’s safe to say, many of us learned a valuable life lesson last week, and we learned it all from our involvement in WoW. We often go months with little more than the posts on boss strats, paladins being facerollers, or news that isn’t really news breaking like, “Ghostcrawler took a shower before he went to work.” In many ways, this is the kind of stuff that keeps the community alive and ticking when times are boring, but it also causes many people in our lives to shake their heads and wonder how we get so engrossed in a video game. The problem is those that try and understand rarely can make it long enough to a week like last week, when WoW brings philosophical answers about our lives and how we live them. Read more…
