Unless you have been living in a very, very deep and aurally impervious hole, you would know that Blizzcon is coming soon. Actually, maybe a little sooner than soon. Well, I guess now we’re discussing the definition of ‘soon,’ which is a thoroughly uninteresting and taxing imposition of your time, so let’s just scratch that. Let’s start again.
Blizzcon! October 22-23! Anaheim Convention Center!
Jesus, did your respective genitalia just jump? Yeah, mine didn’t either, but it’s still pretty damn exciting. In all of this excitement, you still have to do some increasingly menial yet thoroughly important grunt work. Let’s talk about some of the stuff you should bring with you to B-Con. Disclaimer: While it should be extensive, there’s a good chance that I’ll leave something out that you think is essential. I invite you to leave a comment; I’ll add your suggestion to the list. So, without further ado, the list… right after the break! Read more…

Well here it is:
Hello from Amazon.com.
We now have delivery date(s) for the order you placed on August 17 2010 (Order# XxXx):
“World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Collector’s Edition”
Estimated arrival date: January 05 2011
For more details, please visit the “Your Account” section of our web site (http://www.amazon.com/your-account). You can also reach “Your Account” by clicking on the link in the top right corner of any page on our web site.
Is it legit? Yes it is. Amazon is now saying that Cata will release in January. This seems to be in line with reports that Cata is delayed, with reports coming in that December was the ship date. January is a bit of a shock, and doesn’t seem to make sense from a consumer point of view. One has to think that Christmas sales would boost the sales of Blizzard’s Flagship, but on the other hand, it is good to see that Blizz still has some sort of control over when it ships the game.
So here is to hoping that this date means the game will be finished and up to Blizz’s standards when it does release.
****UPDATE****
The release date is December 7th, thanks to the work of MMO-Champion. Here is to being wrong. I know if I hadn’t posted the incorrect date, then this info would have been squashed until BlizzCon.

Hello Rawrcast Listeners and readers, Eulixe here bringing you another episode of Lands Of Lore.
As you might of been able to tell from listening to the show, the audio on the last few episodes of LoL has been a little.. OK, OK, a complete shambles.
For what ever reason, my computer decided to start exporting things in a weird way. Everything is sorted now though, and things should resume as normal. As for the episodes affected, I’ll be uploading them right here on Rawrcast so you can check them out.

After finishing Hyjal, I was sent to Deepholm to assist the Earthen Ring. Apparently, when Deathwing broke free he destabilized the Temple of Earth, which all of Azeroth rests upon and if the temple isn’t fixed everything will implode and the world will end. No pressure.
There is a “holy shit” moment just before you’re send down into the Maelstrom by Thrall. First, you see just how badass the former warchief is. Second, you see just how badass Blizzard has got with game design. Unfortunately I had to turn down my graphics settings before the zone would completely load. Here’s a crappy youtube video that doesn’t do it much justice.
Deepholm is a lot like the Grand Canyon. For the first few hours you are completely astounded by how things look: spires shatter as you fly by, crystal deposits glow brightly and the models of the mobs are fresh and wonderfully alien. But then, like the Grand Canyon, it gets old and you just want to go home and watch TV, hopefully Madmen.
Every day, we are one more day closer to putting Arthas and the rest of WoTLK in our rearview mirrors to bolt around on our swellegant (10 simoleons to whomever can name that reference) 310-speed mounts in the new Azeroth. (Reading some iteration of that every day has to get old. I apologize.) We’re one day closer to exploring all of the great new content we’ve been salivating over since the last Blizzcon, and if you are actually still listening to WoW podcasts and reading this, then you are quite obviously excited as well. So what do you do with these last few months? Still raiding 4 nights a week? Are you hectically grinding badges for gold and justice points? Maybe you’re going back to the old world, and farming ore and herbs to play the stock market? Or maybe you’re being more sentimental about the whole thing and going back, leveling an alt, just so you can experience the 1-58 grind the way that you used to.Whatever it is, let us know. How are YOU playing the game right now?
As for me, I am polishing off some long-neglected alts when I have the time from raiding as that’s really the only way to get a serious influx of gold without running daily quests. And daily quests got horrendous at about the 300th day of doing them. I’m JUST saying. (This is, of course, all to say that I will once again be doing my 25-per-day once Cata drops… I want my reps!)
I am very interested to hear what you’re up to, so let me know!

I ended last time by saying that my enthusiasm for Cataclysm was quickly replaced with annoyance. I think this was because I was trying to sample as much as I could as fast possible and reached some sort of Warcraft overload. Sort of like when you go to a buffet and eat everything you see because, well, because it’s just there.
I tried the Worgen starting zone (snooze), I tried Vashj’ir on a pre-made warlock (the underwater environment felt very gimmicky), I tried Hyjal on my copied warlock main (I think I need more practice with the lock changes, they don’t feel all that natural) and messed around with archeology (I’m going to get very bored of this). By the time I was done with this I had the WoW-equivalent of buffet food gut rot. But then my attention was finally caught and now I’m having a very good time with the storylines of the expansion and bug-seeking.
