Deathling is BlizzCon 2010′s Swag Loot!

DeathlingIf you are there at BlizzCon 2010, braving the Con-Flu and taking in the epic-ness that is BlizzCon, then you are going to get Deathling in your Swag Bag. Now we have heard a ton of rumors that this was going to be an epic swag year to be at BlizzCon, but I think that it is safe to say that this just speaks for itself. The box says that it will never go in to commercial production, and that each one is hand-painted. Even though we have seen figurines before; this little guys is shaping up to be the must-have item, even more so than the figurines that shipped with the most expensive version of Halo: Reach. It says it is made of polystone, and appears to be the best way to manufacture a sculpture. Googling “Moquette” turns up a fabric that makes carpeting so durable. So, I am not exactly sure what the context of that is. So is this little guy worth the cost of airfare, lost time at work, and the Con-Sars you are going to get, on top of the cost of the ticket itself? Leave a comment and voice your opinion!

Probably not but in concept it looks great. I wouldn’t go to blizzcon if they gave me the tickets. Just running the risk of getting crushed under a 400 lb nerd with night elf ears. No thanks.

It’s ‘maquette’, not ‘moquette’. And no, it’s not worth all that money just for it by itself. The whole BlizzCon experience, plus a holiday to California, is however.
