Today I plan on taking a departure from the norm, I’m not going to be directly talking about World of Warcraft, instead, I want to talk about something near and dear to my heart, SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic). So sit back, relax, grab your favorite beverage for a (self proclaimed) compelling look at SWTOR.
Announced just shy of two years ago, we began salivating over what very well could be the (way to commonly thrown around phrase) “WoW killer” and if speculative talk is true about how much cash has gotten poured into SWTORs development is accurate, it had better be! So unless you have been living under a rock for the last couple years, you’re aware that the juggernaut in the single player RPG arena known as Bioware, is throwing its proverbial hat into the arena of the MMO world. The past week has been the equivalent of a “Sleeper Expansion”, an expansion that crept up on everyone and changed the world of Azeroth as we know it. Just like the world was crammed with Death Knights in the last expansion, this Sleeper Expansion has filed the world with Dwarf Shamans, Tauren Paladins and Human Hunters (so many human hunters). Players have returned to the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor in droves, scooping up new zone achievements and marveling at the new content. I couldn’t be more pleased with the changes that have come to the game.
The one thing that I’m still trying to determine is whether or not I’ll be focusing on my main when the expansion comes out or if I’m going to focus on leveling new characters. One part of me wants to get Plectical into tip top raiding form as quickly as possible while another part of me is drooling to level a Worgen. What are your plans? Focus on your main or level up an alt first? One parting note; there is some small part of me that feels that I’d be abandoning Plectical if I focus on a Worgen first (but I’m a sentimental old man).

We have a resident “hax ninja” in our guild that goes by the name Totii. You may have heard us mentioning his antics before on the podcast. He’s always scaling walls, blinking into boxes, and finding little hidden treasures that Blizzard has hidden for us all over the game. Needless to say, he is always quite entertaining.
Totii’s most recent adventure involves the beautiful little Auction House in the midst of the completely updated Orgimmar. The Vally of Strength houses what is sure to be Totii’s latest hax triumph, finding The Secret Chicken.
Atop the new Auction House is a chicken coop, and getting behind the invisible wall surrounding the auctioneers is no small task. But, it’s one that any hax mage shouldn’t have any problem blinking through.
- Once the wall is penetrated, hop along the back wall behind the flag
- Hop over to the beam
- Walk slowly along the beam
- Hop over the candles and whatnot on the second beam
- Hang a left towards the chicken coop
There you will find The Secret Chicken. In my eyes the chicken is meant to be found by any pro, like Totii, or the other complete nub who fell of the beam and gave up (me).
Pro-Tip: Once you make it up to the beam, drop a Warlock summoning stone with your partners in crime. That way, if you fall outside the “invisible wall”, your friends can summon you back up without issue. Otherwise, you are kinda stuck out unless you all go through the adventure all over again.
Have you found some “ninja hax” in the updated 4.0.3 terrain and cities?
Here’s some Pilgrim’s Bounty Help and some entertainment from Jeff Lewis (Vork) for your Thanksgiving Holiday. Have a great weekend! Even though the world has split apart, the guides should still be pretty helpful.

While we spend the day reflecting upon our lives, love, and family, I wanted to also take a moment to reflect upon the bounty that has been bestowed upon us this week with patch 4.0.3. In case you have been living under a rock, The Sundering happened this Tuesday and the entire face of Azeroth has changed.
The Sundering
I went to bed Monday night, wished Azeroth a fun patch day, and logged in Tuesday evening to the wrath and carnage of one big angry pissed off dragon. I’m kinda bummed that the terrain changes weren’t phased. It would have been cool to watch the land change as Deathwing moved the tectonic plates, or washed dead bodies ashore. But, alas, it all happened while I slept. Read more…
