I met my girlfriend playing wow. I lived in south Georgia, she lived in Alberta Canada and we were both working night jobs. We would get home around the same time and since we were the only ones online, we started to chat.
One thing led to another and we went from talking in gchat, to vent, to phone calls and text messages, to video chats. We finally met in real life and when the opportunity arose, I moved to Canada to be with her.
We have now been together for around 2 years and are as happy as we can ever be. She has become more of a casual player, farming for mounts and pets, while I’m more of a hardcore raider, working on hard-modes and achievements.

I teared up reading this. My story with Haf was very similar. Playing the game together is way more fun than playing alone. And, that holds true with everything if you expect to live together and maintain your WoW-iness.

Great story, mine is the same, WoW life was painful,wait I mean PAINFUL!, before laviolet started playing.

I was lucky I got her into it, I think right before BC, so the length of the wife aggro was short, it did take some trickery to make it happen.

I got her nice and drunk, threw some charm on her, and said come on, just try it one time. She rolled an undead rogue, and that was the end of my aggro, like a crack dealer she was hooked.

it has cost a few thousand dollars for us to both have PCs and keep them up to date, I have had nothing but a blast since she started playing. She is now level 80, a top dps with 11/12 HM in ICC, so there is some pride there too.
